Loyal followers of the actress are urging that a person who breached a barricade and seized the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or removed from Singapore.

A circulating video depicts the Australian man pushing past camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the actors made its way down a event pathway accompanied by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was observed being led away of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being detained", though official papers indicated that he was set to appear on the next day. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram profile contains clips of him interrupting other star-studded functions, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the city last year.

"There needs to be action enforced against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his actions.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user remarked.

Supporters Express Concern Over Grande's Safety

Many supporters accused Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the finale of her 2017 performance in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming hundreds.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" commented one more message on Instagram.

Several attendees also faulted event staff at the premiere for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals called for digital services to ban Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Event Details

In footage shared widely, Grande seemed shocked when she was approached by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the premiere activities continued without further issues.

The movie, to be released on 21 November, is the second of a dual interpretation of the well-known theatrical musical Wicked, which focuses on the unexpected bond between two very different witches.

The production itself is a spin-off of the 1900 story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was adorned in a rosé sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who acts as the villainous character, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.

They were accompanied by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing motion picture of 2024 in the UK, and earned 10 award recognitions, securing several for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
