An Australian man who jumped over a barricade and grabbed celebrity Ariana Grande has been expelled and barred from Singapore.
Johnson Wen, aged 26, was handed a penalty to nine days in detention for disrupting public order and has now been "barred from re-entering Singapore," Singaporean immigration authorities stated to news outlets.
He forced his way beyond security and charged at the actress and singer, who was participating in the Asian premier for the film on November 13. Co-star Cynthia Erivo wrestled him away from Grande.
He has a background of interrupting performances and star-studded occasions, including jumping on stage at the pop star's Australian show in this summer.
The occurrence sparked outrage in Singapore, with several individuals saying he of re-traumatising Grande.
The celebrity has discussed experiencing PTSD after a explosive incident at her performance in the UK city in May 2017 took the lives of 22 people and injured hundreds.
In the legal process, the authorities learned he had attempted to intrude on the film's premiere on two occasions, according to Singaporean media.
